Went To Pieces

“Though a robust man

at retirement,

he went to pieces

quickly and was dead

within four years.”

BB p 33

The disease is progressive, always getting worse,

never better.

After periods of abstinence, when one picks up it

is not going back to step one,

it starts just where you would have been

had you never stopped.

Need a reminder, go to a meeting and listen to the stories.

Today, remember how bad it was when you stopped

and if you drink today,

just imagine how much worse it could be.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
