“It is probably true

that you and your husband

have been living

too much alone,

for drinking many

isolates the wife

of an alcoholic.”

BB p 119

The nature of the disease of alcoholism

wants the afflicted to isolate, be alone,

push away anyone who loves them and to kill themselves.

Not just spouses, but family, children, neighbors, co-workers

and anyone who would question the sanity of the alcoholic

that is out of control.

Today, don’t isolate, learn to share your feelings tactfully

and do your best to rejoin this world.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
