Worship

“Had we not

variously worshipped

people,

sentiment,

things,

money,

and ourselves?”

The drunk worshipped many things.

The Big Book suggests that we take this well-worn practice

and apply it towards a faith in a Higher Power who can do for us

what we could not do for ourselves.

No more fox hole prayers, just a pleasant conversation

with the God of your understanding, seeking the

strength and guidance to do the next right thing.

Today, use your well-worn worshipping skills and rely

on prayer and meditation to satisfy your needs.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
