No Way Out

“He had a desperate

desire to stop,

but saw no way out,

for he had earnestly

tried many avenues

of escape.”

BB p 155

Escape from the obsession and compulsion to drink

was tantamount to trying to flee from a prison that had no bars.

The prison was everywhere and until we started to work the program

of Alcoholics Anonymous little did we understand the inclusive

( body, mind and soul) nature of the disease.

Today, with the help of the Program, the Fellowship and

a loving Higher Power, we have a daily reprieve,

a ‘get out of jail free’ card, a map that leads

to happy, joyous and free.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
