The Last Stage

“but at some stage

of his drinking career

he begins to lose all

control of his liquor

once he starts to drink.”

BB p 21

The man took a drink,

The drink took a drink,

And then the drink took the man.

For some it was the first drink on the first day,

for most it was an insidious progression

for at which point most did not realize

they had crossed the line of control,

the moment when the drink controlled the man.

Today, believe, once the line has been crossed

you may never go back.

Recovery is one day at a time.

Sobriety is a blessing from our Higher Power.

ME and the Boss

And, if no one has told you yet today,

God loves you and so do we.
