Rain

Life

isn’t

about

how to

survive

the storm,

but how to dance in the rain.

The Rainy Day

The day is cold, and dark, and dreary;
It rains, and the wind is never weary;
The vine still clings to the moldering wall,
But at every gust the dead leaves fall,
And the day is dark and dreary.

My life is cold, and dark, and dreary;
It rains, and the wind is never weary;
My thoughts still cling to the moldering Past,
But the hopes of youth fall thick in the blast
And the days are dark and dreary.

Be still, sad heart! and cease repining;
Behind the clouds is the sun still shining;
Thy fate is the common fate of all,
Into each life some rain must fall,
Some days must be dark and dreary.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

God didn’t promise days without pain,

laughter without sorrow, sun without rain,

but He did promise strength for the day,

comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

Life is learning, not just learning that there

are good days and bad days, but learning from

the good and the bad so that you may become a

stronger and wiser person who is better able to

do the will of your Higher Power.

Do not look for the pain, the sorrow or the rain,

look for the lesson to be learned so that you

may become that stronger person.

Learn from the bad that it is better to comfort

than to be comforted.

Learn to reflect God’s light so that you may

better help others in a time of darkness.

Know that this to shall pass.

Look for the silver lining around every cloud,

God’s light that brings joy to those who seek it.

Know that without rain this world would

not survive or become a better place.

“May the sun always shine on your windowpane;
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain;
May the hand of a friend always be near you;
May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.”     Irish Blessing

Happiness is helping someone help themselves.
