Poetry – Day Thirty

For the entire month
of April, 2013,
this will be my daily
home as I attempt
to write

as challenged
by a few of my
blogger friends.

The daily motivational, spiritual post will be continued at :

ME and the Boss 2013

Day 30

“No poems can please for long or live
that are written by water-drinkers.” — Horace

I want what I want
Instant gratification
And I want it now.

That don’t
Meet the mark
Written real badly by

Oh that I wish that I could rhyme
At least in part some of the time

What I do to the language it is a crime
My mind has obviously passed it’s prime

I write seeking the beauty of the words
My brain it must be on backwards

Some are so skilled to win the awards
For me it appears not to be in the cards

So I’ll continue to try my best for me
In hopes that one day I will please thee

And if the story makes no sense
I’ll just try to apply myself more intense

And if I fail a thousand times
I’ll just pretend that it rhymes

Love, hugs and prayers. ME and the Boss
